"The humble pullover has into its own this season, featuring eye-catching motifs, OTT detailing or a slouchy silhouette. This is knitwear on style steroids."
Jumper season is definitely in. Large, slouchy jumpers are the best teamed up with skinny jeans or leggings with prints on them. However, don't be fooled into buying pullovers that are shapeless which make you look like a turtle, NO!
As I said before on the animal print style, Topshop has ruled out that jumpers featuring animal motifs are essential in the A/W11 season. Wild animals are big, and tiger prints are everywhere. Wildfox have some very clever, eye-catching motifs like the "Cross my heart" jumper I've shown below.
Another style category big on the runways was "Cowboys and Indians", I haven't had time to include that but in the power jumper section I've got a section with jumpers made by Wildfox who feature Indian motifs like dream-catchers.
Grey and black jumpers are in as well! Designs with unique/asymmetrical cuts are very in.
Bold, slouchy jumpers too!
The word on the street is POWER JUMPERS, so many to choose from :)
"Book in that mani-pedi and blowout; a very put-together, elegant look click clacked down the runway at Johnathon Saunders, Miu Miu and Nina Ricci, heralding the return of ladylike chic. A blouse and pencil skirt are central to the look, along with a pointed court heel and a structured handbag"
Pencil skirts and pussy bow blouses have always reminded me of a sexy secretary look. It's a very chic and sophisticated style of items that makes you look and feel confident and independent.
There is so many versatile ways of teaming up a pussy bow blouse with a pencil skirt.
Go for pastel colours or nudes with minimum, but statement, jewellery.
For a head-turner look why not add platform heels to a bold and colourful blouse, keeping the pencil skirt in a muted colour, or vice versa.
The world is in your oyster ladies, make the most of your figures!
"A rainbow has exploded in our wardrobe, and is showing no signs of fading. For autumn, the palette has evolved into burgundy, petrol blue, primrose yellow and scarlet with a garnish of eye-watering mustard."
A blast of colours have stung my eyes! I adore colours and always have.
Bold and bright colours make you feel happy, confident... a piece of walking art!
Colours are THE way to make a statement when styling an outfit.
Below are pieces that have stood out the most in my eyes..
I hope you all have taken my tips and start stocking on your Autumn/Winter wardrobe ASAP!
Tomorrow I shall be blogging about..well....SHOES!
But what type?
See you luscious ladies tomorrow :)
